In 1997, Ayo Oshunremi, founder of Inspiration Youth Call, was diagnosed as severely dyslexic. This explained why he found school a difficult environment and why life as a young man became wayward. With the necessary education support in place he successfully completed a BA honours in Education and Community at the University of East London where he graduated in 2001.
Ayo was so inspired by what can be achieved and how his life had turned around that he wanted others to experience the same. Together with Lee Dixon they founded Inspiration Youth Call.
Inspiration Youth Call was established in 2004 to support vulnerable young people from all walks of life, enabling them to develop socially and educationally and inspire them to achieve their individual goals. Since then our staff and volunteers have:
1.Mentored over 600 children and young people*
2.Worked with 6 Schools*
3.Established 6 youth provisions and clubs*
4.Currently working in partnership with Thurrock Council*
5.Supported 0ver 50 pupils who were on the verge of exclusion /excluded*
Our history is evolving and we welcome you to be part of our inspirational story
